“Twenty-five years ago, a group of dedicated parents asked, “What opportunities are there for our children with special needs as they become adults? What will their quality of life look like?” With these questions in mind, they created the Gulf Islands Families Together Society (GIFTS).

Incorporated under the Society Act in 1999, GIFTS has since grown into a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging for individuals with diverse abilities.
